Scale inhibitors

Reagent EPM-12 (technical specification 2458-002-34666331-2000) is used to inhibit scales in systems of water rotation and heat-exchange equipment cleaning from sediment deposits.

Physico-chemical properties:
Mobile liquid from colorless to dark brown. Sediment is allowed in an amount of not more than 1% by weight.
Mass fraction of phosphorus: not less than 6%
Density: not less than 1080 kg/m3
Decomposition temperature: > 160 °C
Freezing Point: -10 °C
Hazard Class: 4 (low-risk)
Product is not flammable, not explosive

Technological properties: reagent EPM-12 passivates calcium and magnesium crystals formed in water through the formation of their hydrophobic faces of the dispergant’s film impeding further growth and conglomeration of solid salts.

The deposits on the surface of pipelines and apparatus loosened under the influence of acid-based inhibitor, partially dissolved and gradually washed out. Depending on the condition and number of deposits on the surfaces set the maximum amount of reagent dosed within the recommended concentrations, reduced to the optimum in the future.
